This is the boiler which is extracts the raki (traditional alcohol drink of Creta Greece)from the grapes.You can see how it works,and what is left from the grapes (at the left side).Of course this is an old system not much different than the new ones.This particular boiler at the same place is in working condition since the second world war. The working idea is that the steam which is coming from the boiler,is passing through cold water and the raki is coming.Of course secrets of each producer are going from the one to another.
