My two friends and I arrived in Chania early one morning in April without a reservation and stopped at this hotel first. Since it was the off-season, we were offered the room at an astonishing discount. The proprietor was very friendly, effusive, chatty, and always available to give advice or assistance. The house is old but well-kept with a unique, historical atmosphere, and our triple room was entirely comfortable and pleasant. Fantastic location, on a backstreet literally one minute from the waterfront. Cannot recommend this hotel enough for a rewarding stay in my favorite city on earth.
