I haven't been to Crete in ten years. I sure have a lot of great memories. My mother family was from Crete. When my mother was alive we would come to Crete every year and stay for about two weeks at the hotel. The staff was great and the hotel was always clean and the breakfast was great. I hope to return. My grandmother would always tell me the sea was so blue and that there was a million stars in the sky at night. Oh how I miss Crete!!!

Every time I spend some days in Crete I MUST return to this lovely place, a unique oasis at the old Venetian port.Run by the friendliest receptionists(and of course all the Platsidakis!)this hotel makes me feel "at home" - no wonder as I have been there regularly since 1994 and will return as long as I can!

We stayed here for 3 nights in early November and loved the hotel. The hotel is on the waterfront and our room had a balcony facing the harbor; since we were on the quiet end of the harbor we were not bothered by any street noise. Our room and bathroom were a good size and the breakfast was the best we had in Greece. They even had fresh sqeezed OJ.

We stayed for a week in late October 2005-it was raining when we arrived !! Nice room with balcony (but next time we'll make sure we get one at the front)-very well cleaned. Breakfasts were lovely,especially good to have one at 5.30am with fresh coffee before trips out. Reception staff could not have been more helpful. Fine location away from the main harbour. Would return anytime. So many good places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Chrisdopolous-probably incorrectly spelt-is a must, if it is open during your stay.
