This charming building was constructed in 1866. Then it was build again as summer home for the Turkish nobleman of Rethymno, Alpan Pasha. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was converted to a girls college and after the war it became a sardine factory due to its prime location on the seashore. The ships were unloading their cargoes directly to the interior of the building, upon to us of salt. With panoramic view the Venetian castle Fortezza, enjoy the saltness of the sea and let your self at the colourful sunset. Its name is history - oriented. Its menu I sea - composed itself is a real fish - cooking monopoly, a challenge for a unique taste of splendid fresh fish, mastered by the experts.
