i have just recently returned from a holiday in crete. i just wanted to say that the eliros beach hotel is an excellent hotel and we had a lovely holiday. the only thing we found upsetting was the attitude of the barman. the guests were predominantly german speaking i think we were the only english there. i think it was this reason as i can think of no other that he use to ignore us when we went to the bar. i know one night i sat ages waiting and he caught my eye a few times but chose to ignore me yet when other guests went up to the bar they were served. i was upset because i hadnt offended him in any way. he was the same with the rest of my family. i know the hotel mainly caters for the german speaking guests but the fact is i was able to book it on the internet and they were accepting english. we were so upset we spent the last two evenings aways from the hotel so we could have a good night. i must add this was the only problem we had and the rest of the staff were fine.
